Find a wedding photographer near you

Looking for a wedding photographer? I’ve curated a beautiful list just for you. And the best part? They’re Catholic.

Sure, religion shouldn’t matter when it comes to what makes a wedding photographer excellent — but faith can really impact whether you get all of the shots you were hoping for. A Catholic wedding photographer understands the depth and seriousness of promising “till death do us part,” especially within the context of a Catholic wedding. You won’t need to explain to them what the consecration is or why you’re bringing flowers to Mary for them to get the perfect picture of those important moments. And they know how to capture all of those moments without interrupting the sanctity of the ceremony.

If you’re looking for another kind of wedding vendor, check out this directory here!

P.S. This list is a passion project for me. The links are not affiliate links, nor do I receive anything for including these businesses here.

This list of photographers are currently based out of Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington (and a bonus Canadian!) — but many of them are willing to travel.

“My faith is extremely important to me, and I have always prayed for a way that I could serve the Church through my gifts. I so highly value and revere the Catholic Sacrament of Marriage, its sanctity and purity, that I couldn’t imagine offering wedding photography services to any other kind of ceremony.

There would be no greater honor and blessing than for me to be a part of your wedding day. I would not take lightly your decision in choosing me for such a sacred, holy experience in your lives.”

Bride and groom sit facing the altar, holding hands across the aisle. A bishop with his mitre reads prayers over them. He and the altar server assisting him wear shimmering gold vestments.

“Our specialty is the Latin Mass wedding. We are also known as @LatinMassPhotographer.

Our couples come to us having seen our images and video around social media. For years we’ve been sharing Catholic event Masses and Pontificals with Cardinals and Bishops to lift hearts and minds to God. Many of our images appear in magazines, FSSP Calendars, online articles and book covers as well as the Mass of the Ages documentary.

I work with my son , Johnny, and a 3rd photographer so that our team can uniquely capture every angle. Our couples always say we put them at ease and make the experience fun...yet reverent. Finding the transcendent beauty and the emotions of the day and capturing them means everything to us.

And we want you to have everything!”

Service area: ased out of Delaware/Philadelphia area and Pittsburgh, PA/Ohio and Orange County,  Southern California.  Will travel.

Florida

Bride and groom standing next to each other, facing priest whose hands are raised over the altar in prayer.

“All of the people, all of the photos, all of the details, all of it will not be more important than the exchange of vows at Mass. We can plan out every detail and something still won’t be perfect. But you know what is? God’s love; and His part in your marriage to your beloved. I know it can be a slippery slope getting caught up in the details of a wedding day; I struggle with that too sometimes! Whenever I do start feeling overwhelmed with budget or how am I going to fit everything into one day or do I have every detail lined up…I pray. I pray for my future husband and I as we approach our wedding day. I pray for patience and peace and acceptance. Whether any of this Catholic wedding planning stuff is for you or not, know that I am praying for you as well as you prepare for marriage.”

Service area: Florida, Colorado, and Arizona!

“We are Josie and Jack Delac... aka The Delac Collective! We are a husband-wife duo of Catholic creatives who magnify the glory of the Lord through our gifts of photography, sacred music, talks, and more!

In our approach, we highlight the simple and sacred moments that others may pass by. We are for the engaged couple wanting to keep God at the center of their Sacrament. We are for the family wanting to capture God's love alive in their home. We are those who love the little moments with big memories.”

Service area: Jacksonville, FL but willing to travel worldwide!

Bride and groom kneel in front of an altar, faced ad orientem, where a priest has the Chalice raised. A crucifix is visible over the priest.

“A lover of details, I love taking on an active role in my clients’ wedding plans, guiding them through the planning process, and bringing peace, throw-your-head-back laughter, and authenticity to their wedding day. I intercede for them throughout and encourage my couples to look ahead not just to the wedding day, but to the forever of marriage.

My story begins with a dead end search for a Catholic wedding photographer with a true-to-life style for my own wedding in 2019. During maternity leave after the birth of my eldest daughter I was flipping through my wedding photos, a little sad that they didn't capture our wedding Mass the way I had dreamed. "I wish there were Catholic wedding photographers in Georgia," I thought. Very clearly, I heard the Lord say "You can do it. Go." 5 weeks later, I quit my job and dove headfirst into wedding photography and haven't looked back since!

I firmly believe Catholic brides deserve vendors who understand the weight of what they are undertaking, the unique beauty in a Catholic wedding Mass, and beautiful, true-to-life images that capture the love they have for each other.”

Service area: Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and North Carolina.

A bride and groom send in front of the altar with the priest facing them. A large crucifix is visible above them. The church walls are white and the ceiling is light green.

“Hi, I’m Allie! A little about me… I fell in love with photography in 2014 when I got my first professional camera. This might sound cheesy, but I loved the idea that I could freeze time and have visual memories forever.

I LOVE to travel the world (I've been to 22 countries), so I first started documenting my travels and taking landscape photos. Throughout the years, I started taking senior photos for graduating high-schoolers and college grads at UF (Go Gators!) and fast-forward...now I'm here, documenting love stories!

A little more about me... I am Venezuelan-American, bilingual, a loud laugher, a devout Catholic (Saint John the Evangelist's biggest fan) & I LOVE meeting people, exploring new places and dreaming BIG. I am in love with my sweet Tampa Bay city, anything pumpkin related, my dog Kane, coffee (lattes, espresso, cappuccinos - you name it), sunsets, the ocean - and just this beautiful life.

Capturing creative, emotional, silly and REAL photos is my passion.”

Service area: Florida but willing to travel anywhere!

Illinois

Bride and groom smile at each other in front of altar and large crucifix. Clergy are clapping in the background.

“I never dreamed about my wedding day, never imagined myself in a white dress, or fantasized over the flowers I would have in my bouquet. But God has a funny way of taking your plans, turning them completely upside down and showing you how much more beautiful they look that way.

Josh and I met at film school where we would write and shoot comedies together. Besides being the most amazing life partner I ever could have asked for, the best father to our son, he is also the best business partner, helping me to capture love stories in a way that makes the movies jealous.

Thanks to my own journey that led me down the aisle, I now have the privilege of capturing the joy of a wedding day for so many couples. I never fail to be inspired by their stories and I can’t wait to tell yours!”

Service area: Chicago, IL but willing to travel worldwide!

Not gonna lie — I’m a little biased toward Collette because she went to my alma mater.

“I'm passionate about creating meaningful and memorable photographs that tell your story authentically. I work to create timeless images so when you look back at your wedding album in 25+ years, they will stand the test of time and trends.

AI realize the wedding day can fly past in the blink of an eye. But that is where photography comes in! I want you to live presently in every moment on your wedding day and leave the documenting to me.

With a style that blends carefully crafted portraits and those whimsical in-between moments — I'm here to give you an enjoyable experience while telling a story that is authentic, beautiful, and true to you.”

Service area: based in Indianapolis, IN but also serving Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, and Florida.

Bride and groom stand in front of altar where priest is holding the elevated host and chalice at the consecration.

“God has continued to plant this passion deeper and deeper within me. For a long time it was something that I just thought was fun, but the older I get the more I cherish the value photos bring into our lives - the more I cherish the honor of being able to freeze moments in other people’s lives.

I’m here for the real, the sweet, and the warm moments in life. I desire to bring people closer to the one who made them through the beauty they reflect in my lens.”

Service area: based out of Boston and serves the greater Boston area as well as the Midwest (SD, ND, MN, NE).

Massachusetts

Priest elevates the host during the consecration. Bride and groom kneel in front of the altar. A crucifix is visible in the background.

“Hi! I'm Lizzy, and I can't wait to tell your story.

I have always loved the "little moments" — the fleeting things that, when captured in a photograph, can bring you back to a specific memory and an associated emotion. I can look back through my camera roll, see a photo, and immediately be transported back to that moment. I've dabbled in all sorts of photography, but weddings have my heart. I love having the opportunity to connect with couples on such a personal level and being able to capture so many best days ever. It is truly a joy and a privilege.

I value my marriage and friendships, my Catholic faith, and all that is true, good, and beautiful. I genuinely strive to “live my best life” and experience every moment to the fullest extent. I love to travel, both near and far, and enjoy making even the most mundane thing into an adventure. And I believe there's nothing that a glass of wine and some chocolate can't fix.”

Service area: based out of Boston and serves the New England area!

Michigan

Bride and groom celebrate their first kiss in front of an altar with concrete pillars of the sanctuary around them. The pews are filled with guests. A wooden crucifix hangs over the couple.

“I started out with a tiny blue point and shoot camera, then onto a real old Minolta 35mm SLR that I found at the thrift store. Film taught me how to use light and gave me the foundation to continue on to be successful using DSLRs and now, Sony mirrorless. I spent 4.5 years working in the non-profit sphere, doing editorial and event photography coverage. I have learned how to perform under pressure (events) and honed an eye for the capturing the most important things which are not always the most obvious things (editorial). My style is photojournalistic and simple, and I keep my colors true to life so that you can look back and remember every moment exactly as it was.

I can’t wait to meet you!”

Service area: based in Detroit, MI and open to travel anywhere!

A bride and groom stand in the aisle in front of the altar, looking into each other's eyes. A grand altar is behind them made out of marble and extending toward the ceiling.

“Hi, I’m Marlaina and I am Metro Detroit’s Catholic Wedding Photographer! I do photograph all types of weddings but Catholics are my specialty. I’m a native Michigander who grew up on a farm and at one point had 52 pets…yes, all our llamas and chickens and goats were pets and I loved them all. I originally wanted to become a veterinarian, but it’s kind of impossible when you have asthma.

Love is a big part of my life. Whether it’s been taking care of my grandma in her last years, growing with my husband, or even learning to love myself, there’s nothing more beautiful than being a part of love.

In addition, my husband and I enjoy exploring Michigan. A few years ago, we decided to do a week long camping trip going down the west side. We started at Traverse City and followed the coast all the way down to Saugatuck.

Nowadays, we’ve been looking at redecorating our basement to include a bar and overall be a more welcoming space for friends and family.”

Service area: based in Detroit, MI.

A black and white photo of a bride and groom leaving the church, hand in hand, with giant smiles on their face. A crucifix is visible between them.

“I converted to the Catholic faith as an adult and immediately fell in love with the endless beauty of the church. Not only the visual beauty, but the profound love that I've witnessed in so many Catholic couples. It's always so inspiring to me to see future husbands and wives wholly devote their relationship to the Lord. Knowing that God has guided them the entire way.

This is what I love to capture. I'm always so humbled that I get to use my gifting to document and share this beauty and love for our Lord.

As your photographer, my priority is to capture the absolute joy that God has built within your relationship. I love being able to tell your love story through photographs. Photographs that you'll one day get to show your children and grandchildren. I want them to be able to look back through your wedding day and really feel the love and joy that was flowing through your entire wedding day.

My ultimate goal is to document your day with all of my heart and soul, while ensuring that you are able to be fully present, soaking in all of the beauty and grace that will be surrounding you both.

And know that I will be praying for you the entire way!

Service area: Michigan, Indiana & Illinois, but willing to travel!

“Our clients invite Christ to be the center of their marriage. The sacrament of marriage is the true highlight of the wedding day. Our couples want to give glory to God in their planning, are seeking someone to capture that day with reverence to the mass, and want to be inspired with examples of living out a holy, happy, and faithful marriage.

There is a litany of tasks you're organizing in order to transform the vision for your wedding day into a reality. We are by your side to help you prepare (and celebrate!) each step of the way. From using our years of expertise to help you craft your wedding day timeline, memorializing this brief but exciting season at your engagement session, and capturing what will become your first family heirlooms — we are here for it all.”

Missouri

Bride and groom stand in front of the altar where a priest and altar server stand in front of them. Full sanctuary is visible with three large statues. Paintings of saints are above the congregation.

“Our favorite thing in the world is showing the goodness and beauty of God through His Church, through His Sacraments, and through His children. When we can combine all those things into one, we are elated. There is nothing more refreshing, rejuvenating, or exciting to us than working with other faithful Catholics who love the Mass as much as we do!

Your wedding day is an important day. It’s not just gathering your family and friends together for a party. It is the day God joins the bride and groom into a life long union together with Him, an event so powerful and so important that God made it a Sacrament.

There are many difficult decisions to be made as you plan your special day. Finding a photographer who shares your Faith, who will be reverent and discreet, and who will capture the solemnity of the Sacrament doesn’t have to be one of them.”

Service area: based out of St. Louis, Missouri but willing to travel anywhere!

Photos by Evie Sue

“Hi! I'm Evie and and I'm flattered that you would consider me to capture your sacred day. I LOVE shooting weddings, but even more than that, I love getting to witness couples enter into this Sacrament. I prioritize capturing the holy moments throughout your day while not compromising reverence. Even amongst the hustle and bustle of the day, I will work to make sure that you have time just the two of you to soak in these special moments. Wedding days can feel rushed — I will carve out opportunities for just the two of you as newlyweds so you can reminisce on a joyful and FUN wedding day. I’m playful, sincere, and perpetually light-hearted, and these themes emerge in my photos. I edit in a way that highlights my client’s affection for each other with medium contrast, rich colors, and deep blacks. Shooting with me is just hanging out with a friend. We’ll build a rapport so that you feel natural and comfortable in front of my lens, walk away feeling gorgeous, and look back on these memories with joy.”

Smiling Tess is sitting in a grassy field wearing tan sweater, white beaded necklace, jeans rolled up at the ankle, and tan loafers. She's holding her camera.

Don’t forget to consider a wedding videographer!

“I just want to make beautiful things and help people get to heaven.”

Tess says: I love being creative and loving people, so I started Heart & Light Company. One of my personal goals is spending 15 minutes in prayer for each client. My next priority is working with you to create amazing, uplifting films that capture who you are and who God is!

At Heart & Light Co., our biggest priority is you - getting to know you and your story. In order to get those natural, genuine shots that truly capture who you are, you have to feel comfortable with the person filming them!

Service area: based out of Nebraska and most commonly services the Midwest, but willing to travel anywhere!

A bride is escorted down the aisle by her father, under a tall, beautiful church.

“Hey there, I’m Ruthie. I love laughing + adventuring + the outdoors + most importantly Jesus. I'm a mountains over the beach gal, and iced latte over ANYTHING. On a typical night, you can find me singing karaoke + eating chips and salsa with my friends who are about as goofy as I am.

My photography journey started freshman year of high school. I took a journalism class, and my school let us borrow their cameras. I fell in love with the idea of getting to capture people’s joy and laughter, because how could you not? Eventually, I bought my own, and the rest is history.

I got into photography because life is dang beautiful. God reveals himself through beauty all the time. Take a cotton candy sunset, blossoming wildflowers, or a hike surrounded by snow-covered evergreens. Jesus is giving us a taste of heaven. And btw, your love is dang beautiful. If I can give people even a taste of how perfect Jesus has made them, and how wonderful their love is, I hope this will be pleasing to him. I'm just here to hopefully point your eyes towards the truest beauty — not of this world.”

Service area: Nebraska and Florida but willing to travel anywhere!

Together we craft your vision for the day, right down to a family photo list so that we’re not missing any grouping that you’ve got your heart set on, and from there, you can stop worrying about it. I’ll guide you throughout, giving you prompts to help you ease into each other arms and to forget that I’m playing third wheel with you on your WEDDING day!”

I also just got engaged in May so I am having the time of my life preparing with my fiancé ourselves for holy matrimony. Soooooo exciting! Bride walks down the aisle toward the altar where three priests are standing.

“The Catholic nuptial Mass is overflowing with incredible beauty, meaning and sacramental grace. As Catholic wedding photographers, we seek to capture the truth, beauty and goodness of the sacrament of matrimony as our couples begin their lives together, living out their vocation to love.

We believe in the lifelong nature of the sacrament of matrimony. As a Catholic married couple, we seek to love and serve Christ in our couples. We know the power of the sacrament first hand and our goal is to capture beautifully the entire wedding day, but especially the nuptial wedding Mass.

The Catholic wedding Mass is the highlight of the day. We make it a priory to capture the Mass beautifully and respectfully so that our couples can look back at their images and see where it all began.”

“I'm Megan Wolf and I'm a Catholic + Wife + Mommy. This is my identity before anything else. My passion for photography comes from my passion for my faith and family.

"Fidelitas" was born when my first child was born; I wanted to capture everything about this sweet life I'd been blessed with. It quickly blossomed into a desire to capture not just his beauty, but His beauty.

The name "Fidelitas" is latin for Fidelity, which means to remain truest to original form as well as undying commitment and loyalty. I chose this name because:

  • My photos are classic and enhance what is already there.

  • I've committed this work of mine to the Lord.

  • I strive to be a loyal friend to every person I serve!”

Bride and groom stand outside of church with party circling them. A large mural of Mary with two saints is visible over the group.

“Each wedding is its own unique experience and it’s my challenge to represent that accurately and artistically.  Despite how similar the traditions seem, no two couples are alike, no two wedding days are alike.

I have to laugh when I hear some photographers bemoan the “church wedding” as boring, because from my perspective, the spiritual side of a wedding day is the most dramatic, mysterious part. Couples who share that idea tend to be drawn to my work.”

“Hello! I'm Juliana! My favorite things in the world are my Catholic Faith, family, and documenting anything where those two things merge. Because of that my favorite thing to document is Catholic Weddings! Over the years I've been Blessed to do all kinds of weddings so whether it's Novos Ordo, Traditional or Byzantine, I've got you covered! Marriage is such a gift from God... to to be there documenting a covenant that God is making is awe inspiring. More than that God is Love and each of us are tabernacles of that love, and that comes though so clearly in every interaction at a Wedding. I just document it as it comes! I love to Travel so no matter where you are getting married I'd love to be there, but I'm based out of Pittsburgh so I can easily cover any wedding in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Western Ohio and Northeastern West Virginia.”

Service area: Based in Pittsburgh, PA but willing to travel anywhere.

Bride and groom sit next to each other in a pew, holding hands.

“I’m a Catholic, wife, mama, and photographer who believes that beautiful and reverent weddings should be honored with beautiful and reverent photography. In addition to being a devout southern cradle Catholic (trained by my parents and the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia), I’ve been involved with photography my whole life and made it the focus of my college education. From there, it has been the most natural thing in the world to marry (ha) my passions together while growing my business to honor the tradition, preparation, and mystery involved in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony (and the rockin’ party afterward, of course). There are so many aspects of a Catholic wedding that are unique, and you need a photographer who ‘gets it.’ The day-of is just the start of one of the most beautiful journeys God can call you on and I want to give you meaningful wedding photography that you can look back on through that whole journey. Nobody has ever described me as peppy, but has used ‘level-headed, calm, and on top of it.’ My photography style leans classic, colorful, elegant and real, and blends both documentary and editorial approaches.”

Service area: Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, open to Southeastern travel!

“My goal as your Catholic wedding photographer is to make sure the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is reverently captured and allow the beauty of the Sacrament to shine through my lens in your wedding pictures. Being able to photographically reproduce this public testimony of your Catholic faith and love toward each other is a privilege and an honor for me. “The goal of my photography is authenticity, capturing natural beauty and emotion in order to tell the story of your wedding day honestly. I aim to be unobtrusive —following and recording real moments as they happen— because, from bridal preparation to your grand departure, your wedding day is about you and those you care about.

While I specialize in capturing the Catholic Nuptial Mass in either the Ordinary or Extraordinary Form, my documentary style and experience have allowed me to capture a wide range of wedding types.”

As a Catholic Christian, I strongly believe in the Sacrament of marriage and it’s God-given purpose to forge a pathway to heaven. When my husband, John and I got married, we believed that at the center of our day was the sacredness our sacrament and the support that surrounded us. Every couple deserves to have someone there on their day that views marriage as the sacred union that it is.

Today, I see working with my clients as a form of ministry. I use this gift to make connections with couples who see their marriage as a path to heaven, to serve those who understand that marriage is about polishing off the rough edges. With my camera in hand, I strive to capture the moments that will get you through the inevitable harder days, allowing those cherished memories to call to mind the vows you spoke to one another and the joy that you experienced that day.”

“Hi, I'm Sofie. I'm a passionate Catholic just hoping to fulfill God's will through my wedding photography. I began photography with my dad's old film camera and from that moment on I never felt more inspired. Every couple I meet, I get a little glimpse of God through His creation and it just makes me teary-eyed! It would be an absolute honor to capture your special day with the one God has made just for you. I do this because I love it, but ultimately I do it all for His greater glory!”

“I am Christina, a single mom to four amazing special needs children. I have worked in many different genres of photography, but my heart and soul belongs to Sacramental Photography. While I also photograph baptisms, first communions, and confirmations, there is something so special about Holy Matrimony. It is what starts it all, leading the way to children and the other sacraments. I strive for the most authentic style possible so you are able to see how the moment actually looked. It is such an honor to photograph the sacraments, and I truly love just being there, being a part of such a blessed moment. Being a convert has brought such a unique view to my photography, really showing me the beauty of working with Catholic couples specifically. I would be honored and so joyous to work with you to capture these amazing and so very blessed moments. I truly feel I was made for this.

“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’”

“Here’s the thing. There are no do-overs for a wedding mass.

If all the details you care about aren’t captured — the elevation of the Host after you’ve said your vows, receiving Holy Communion for the first time as newlyweds, giving roses to Mary — you will never get those moments back.

And the last thing you want to be worried about as you enter the Sacrament of Marriage is whether those things will be documented, or if the person doing it doesn't know that stepping in front of the altar to get “the shot” is a big no-no.”

Service area: Alberta, Canada and the surrounding area!
